50 Easy Ways to Love Yourself

There’s a difference between selfish narcissism and having a healthy love for yourself. How would others feel if you used the ways you love yourself as a pattern for treating them? It’s essential that you love and be as kind to yourself as you’re to others.

Fifty Ways to Love Yourself More

Do you need some more self-confidence and self-love in your life? Then have no fear because here are 50 easy ways to start this much-needed practice today.

ways to love yourself1. Learn to Say No

Are you a chronic people pleaser who can’t say no to others? If you must always be doing something for them to like you, they aren’t a true friend anyway.

Take charge of your precious time and resources and politely say no to unwanted requests. People will respect you more, and you’ll have more time to do the things love.

2. Revise Your Friend List

A genuine friendship takes effort from both sides. One of the best ways to love yourself is to reserve time for people who have time for you. Life is too short of putting effort into a relationship where the other person couldn’t care less.

Stop calling and texting these fake friends. Rather, talk to those who are eager to catch up with you.

3. Pamper Yourself

If you search for ways to love yourself more, you can’t go wrong with a bit of pampering. You needn’t spend a fortune at a day spa unless you have the extra funds.

You can splurge on exotic bath oils, lotions, and candles and spend a luxurious evening soaking in your bathtub. Light the candles, play music, and relax in heavenly waves of bubbles.

4. Update Your Wardrobe

The clothes you wear make a statement about your individuality. They also make an impact on your moods and self-confidence. Do you still have clothes hanging in your closet that were out of style years ago?

Weed through your closet ruthlessly, and get rid of anything you’ve not worn in the past year. Make piles for donating, selling, recycling, and pitching. One of the best ways to love yourself is to treat you to some classic outfits with colors and styles that complement you the best.

5. Get the “Cure” for the Blues

Are you feeling a little sad and down lately? If you’re looking for better ways to love yourself, here are two easy “cures.” Consider going to a beauty salon for a manicure and pedicure package.

Give your exhausted feet a well-deserved soak while the technician massages them and rubs away any pesky calluses. Choose bright, fun colors for painting your fingernails and toenails. Do you have attractive nails?

Splurge on a dainty French manicure, or try glamour lengths in vivid hues.

6. Go Thrifting

For some people, ways to love yourself wouldn’t be complete without shopping. However, maybe you are one of the many folks who don’t have to hit the mall or an expensive department store to get what you need. Finding gently used treasures in thrift stores may be your thing.

Have a little fun on the weekends and browse through your secondhand shops. You’d be surprised at the gently used name-brand clothes you can find for a fraction of the cost as new. Not only are you saving big bucks, but your upcycling and reusing is a blessing to the environment.

7. Turn off Your Phone

Thanks to modern cell phone technology, you can call people and businesses anywhere. While that’s convenient, it also means that you can’t unplug. It’s frustrating to be on the phone when you’re trying to have dinner or relax. Recently, I read an article on bettingsites.ltd that emphasized the importance of setting boundaries with technology, a reminder that sometimes, the best way to reconnect with yourself is to disconnect from the constant stream of notifications.

Do yourself a big favor and put your phone on silent. You can also set it to ring only for specific numbers. If somebody needs to talk to you, they can leave a message, and you can call them back when you can. One of the best ways to love yourself is to unplug.

8. Find a Signature Scent

Have you ever smelled cologne or perfume that instantly made you think of somebody? Perhaps it’s because you’ve been around a person who only wears a particular scent that’s become their trademark. It’s a subtle fragrance that brings that special someone to mind.

Do you have a signature scent? If not, one of the ways to love yourself is to find your ideal fragrance. Sample a few until you find a scent you adore that works well with your body chemistry. When others smell this intoxicating perfume, they will remember you.

9. Write a Love Letter to Yourself

According to an article published by Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, giving yourself positive self-affirmations can help maintain better self-esteem. Why is it that people often find it easier to compliment others than themselves? The Golden Rule would never work if we were as judgmental of others as we are of ourselves.

As a gift to you, try composing a letter as if you were an intimate friend writing to somebody else. Write in the second person and offer yourself genuine praises for your attributes and accomplishments. You can mail it or keep it as part of your private journal.

10. Say It with Flowers

Beautiful flowers have been a living language of love even before recorded history. Whether it’s a stunning arrangement from a florist or a sweet bouquet picked from your garden, flowers are always welcome. Why not gift yourself with a bouquet of your favorite blooms to love yourself?

11. Indulge in Your Favorite Dessert

Perhaps you’ve adopted a healthier lifestyle that includes eating nutritious whole foods and getting some daily exercise. Just because you eat healthy doesn’t mean you can never have an indulgent dessert again. Part of maintaining a good lifestyle includes learning to eat in moderation.

12. Go for a Walk

Spend some time in nature and go for a leisurely walk. It’s a great way to clear your mind and be kind to your body and soul. An article published by Health Capsule says that walking may reduce your risks of diseases like hypertension, cardiac disease, and diabetes. It can also boost your moods, says the article.

14. Throw Yourself an Un-birthday Party

Remember the absurdly unforgettable tea party Alice attended in Wonderland? The occasion was a celebration of the Mad Hatter’s “un-birthday” party. Soon, all the whimsical attendants realized that the day was their un-birthday, too.

As you find better ways to love yourself, consider throwing yourself a party “just because.” Go with decorations, balloons, cake, and anything else you love. Oh, and don’t forget to buy yourself a nice present.

15. Take More Naps

Remember when you were a child and hated when your parents told you it was nap time? As a busy adult, you probably would give anything to have the time to take a long, relaxing afternoon snooze. According to an article published by Progress in Brain Research, regular naps may boost your energy level and cognitive function.

Try to carve out time in your day to get a little shut-eye, even if it’s leaning back in the chair for fifteen to twenty minutes. You can also spoil yourself on weekends and take a refreshing siesta whenever you like. A little rest can also lighten your mood.

16. Read a Good Book

One of the many benefits of reading is that you can transport yourself to any place and any time without leaving your recliner. When’s the last time you read one of your favorite authors or literary genres? If you don’t want to shell out money for a current best seller, borrow it for free at your local library.

Final Thoughts on Learning New Ways to Love Yourself

It’s been said that you can’t love anyone until you learn ways to love yourself. Like any skill, it takes practice, patience, and compassion. As you shower yourself with love, it radiates to those around you.

Grandma Volunteers at a NICU and Becomes a Baby “Cuddler”

Watching this grandma cuddle newborns is probably the cutest thing ever. Even though she doesn’t get paid for it, she’s got the best job in the world. Who doesn’t love cuddling and caressing a newborn as they stare up at you with those innocent, loving eyes?

She’s a longtime volunteer at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and she wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Joan Hart, 81, has earned the nickname “Grandma Cuddler” at the hospital, and everyone loves her. When she cuddles the babies, they seem to instantly calm down, as if they know they’re safe in her arms.

How Grandma Cuddler soothes NICU babies

cuddler“When I walk into the NICU, my ears are perked up. The first thing I listen for is a cry,” Joan says.

If no one’s around, she immediately picks them up and starts cuddling with them. The kind, gentle touch she provides helps soothe the babies when their parents aren’t around. Of course, the nurses check on them frequently, but they can’t do it all. The cuddlers provide so much comfort and support to the scared, helpless newborns.

“My name is Joan Hart, and my great title is “Cuddler.” The cuddlers are the folks that hold that baby with true love. We’re not taking temperatures. We’re not drawing blood. We are just a love bug,” she says.

She doesn’t have children of her own, but she feels a close connection with the babies she cuddles. The nurses and parents love having Joan around because she’s a natural with the newborns. She calls the babies her “little angels.”

“I’ve always volunteered, and I’ve been around children all my life. I’ve been godmother I’ve forgotten how many times. But here, in 8 years, I’ve probably cuddled at least 1000 babies, and a few doctors and a few nurses, thrown in for good measure,” she says jokingly.

The “Grandma Cuddler” helps both the newborns and their parents

“The NICU, when you first walk in, it’s cheerful, it’s bright, it’s light, but it is a little scary. The babies were floating around in mommy’s tummy, nice and comfortable. And here they are, in pain,” Joan says.

The cuddler program began in 2011 when the hospital’s nursing department realized how beneficial it could be. It was designed to bring comfort to babies whose parents couldn’t be with them 24/7. When parents have work or have other children at home, it’s difficult to watch over a newborn constantly.

“They are the smallest and most fragile beings, and it’s extremely important for their emotional needs and their social-emotional development to have that comforting touch and the soothing,” says Christy Dowd, child life specialist at the hospital’s NICU. “The cuddler program has been around about 8 or 9 years. Having the cuddler program helps the parents feel a little bit better, knowing that their baby will be comforted and soothed when they’re not present.”

Of course, the cuddlers have to undergo extensive training to make sure they’re prepared. It involves seven hours of orientation under the supervision of a nurse and four hours of shadowing a child life specialist. The training allows cuddlers to observe how nurses handle the babies and how the child life specialists help babies’ development.

Grandma Joan takes the training into account when interacting with the babies, but she also uses her instincts. When she checks into the hospital for the day, she asks the nurses which babies need attention. Then, she uses her intuition to figure out what each infant needs and how to soothe them. Sometimes, she’ll hold their hand or pat them on the back gently. Other times, she’ll sing to them softly, give them a pacifier, or hold them with a nurse’s permission.

Dowd says:

“To have people like Joan walking around lightens the burden a little bit. Joan is definitely our veteran Cuddler. We do train our cuddlers. It is extensive, and we make sure that we get the right group of women and men who want to come and snuggle.”

Joan gets to know each baby and what they like after spending time with them. She says after holding them and looking into their sweet faces, each one finds its way into her heart.

“What’s the secret to cuddling? You must love, you must have instinct, not be afraid, and the training will get you through. Some like to be tapped on their chest, some on their behind, and you get a sense. They’ll tell you ‘I don’t like that’ in so many words.”

Cuddlers are only expected to volunteer at least four hours a week, but Joan often spends six or seven hours at the NICU. Many parents consider her a grandmother to their newborn and are very thankful for her. Her love, compassion, and selfless nature put both the babies and parents at ease.

Joan says sweetly of the infants in her care:

grandma“I talk to them, and I don’t talk baby talk. ‘You’re handsome, you’re the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,’ I say that to a lot of the babies. I sing to them. I don’t have children, but I feel I have angels all over. That’s what they are to me. When a baby is ready to go home, it’s like, hallelujah! I pray that they have a good life ahead of them,”

Of course, saying goodbye is usually the hardest part. However, she finds comfort in knowing that she’s made a small difference in each of their lives.

“I sometimes well up because I won’t see them. And the reality is that I won’t see them, but I was a part of their life, and letting go is part of the love, too,” Joan says.

Final thoughts about the “Grandma Cuddler” at a New York City hospital

Cuddling sweet, innocent babies is one of the greatest joys of life. Joan Hart gets to do that every week at a NICU in New York, and she never gets tired of it. She’s become one of the hospital’s favorite volunteers because of her gentle, loving spirit. It’s adorable to watch her interact with the babies; you can tell she enjoys it just as much as the newborns!

Peek Inside One of the Largest Big Cat Rescue Sanctuaries

You probably recognize Carole Baskin from the infamous show Tiger King. While people may have their opinions about her, it’s clear that she has a massive heart for exotic cats. From a young age, she’s been an animal rights advocate, wanting to do her part to end animal abuse. Now, she runs one of the largest accredited big cat sanctuaries in the world.

“I would not even begin to think that I knew everything about exotic cats, but I do know that they don’t belong in cages,” Carole said. “Unfortunately, if they’ve been born in a cage, they’re doomed to spend the rest of their lives in cages. But, we can do everything possible to end the practice of breeding wild cats for life in prison.”

Carole says that she discovered her passion for protecting cats at a young age. When she found out that overpopulated shelters killed some cats, she made it her life mission to end the practice. She knew she’d need a lot of money to fund her dream, but that didn’t stop her. She worked three jobs sometimes to save money for a big cat rescue.

An incident that caused Carole to start rescuing cats

“By the time I was about 31 or 32 years old, I ended up at a live animal auction where I was buying llamas. By this time, I had built a huge real estate portfolio, and I would turn the llamas loose. So, I was buying these llamas, and the guy next to me starts bidding on a bobcat. I leaned over and said, “When that cat grows up, she is going to tear your face off.”

He said, “I’m a taxidermist; I’m just going to club her on the head in the parking lot and make a den decoration out of her.”

This moment fueled Carole’s passion for opening a big cat rescue

After hearing his plans for the bobcat, Carole was horrified and begged her husband to bid on it. They won the bid and came home with the cat. However, the cat had been declawed and was from out-of-state, so that they couldn’t release it. This opened her eyes to the dark side of the big cat industry, so she rescued as many as possible.

She ended up rescuing 56 cats from one fur farm, then 28, and 22 more from a third farm. Soon after, she got phone calls from people asking if she would take their lion or tiger. She realized the problem was even more significant than she thought. However, this motivated her, even more to save as many exotic cats as possible.

Mindset matters

Keeping a positive mindset also helped her stay focused on her goals. She knew she couldn’t let fear of failure get in the way of her mission.

“I was raised by both my mother and my grandmother, and I learned to read when I was very young on things like The Power of Positive Thinking and Psycho-Cybernetics. So, I knew that if I put all my resources into ending these problems, I could do it.”

While it took her nearly 30 years to establish the big cat rescue, she never gave up. To her, every big cat saved from a life of abuse or neglect made it all worth it.

“Now, we have about fifty big cats that we provide a lifetime home to. These are animals who were not born in the wild and could never be released back to the wild. These have come from backyard zoos, from private owners and horrible situations.”

Her vision for the future

A huge part of running the big cat rescue involves raising awareness about cat laws. She and the staff at the sanctuary have contacted Congress about passing the Big Cat Public Safety Act. This would end cub handling and phase out private possession of big cats. People who already own cats can keep them, but they cannot buy or breed more.

Carole says the most rewarding part of her work is when they can release a cat back into the wild. If they can rehabilitate an injured cat and send them back to their natural habitat, that’s a win in her book.

“I love seeing them being able to run free and to reclaim their birthright. That’s what makes me happy, and our amazing volunteers and staff. We have about 12 staff and 88 volunteers, and these people are working day and night in all kinds of weather to make sure that these animals who can’t be set free are given the best possible experience and that the animals we can rehab and release get that second chance at life,” Carole said.

Carole’s Big Cat Rescue does fantastic work, but it’s only a part of a much larger picture. If we want a thriving, healthy planet, we all must work together to create it. She hopes that one day, we can all live peacefully, coexisting with all of nature. Looking at solutions and trying to think positively are important steps to turning this dream into reality.

“Imagine a planet with clean oceans and forests full of trees that are teeming with wildlife. Imagine living together in harmony, that’s what I do every day, and I just won’t stop until that is my reality. So I would encourage everyone here that every chance you get, be so grateful for all of the good in your life and everything that you want in your life, feel like it is already here.”

Final thoughts about Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue

After Tiger King aired, the rumors started flying about the show’s characters, including Carole Baskin. However, it’s obvious that she cares deeply for big cats and wants to end the abuse prevalent in the industry. Hopefully, the federal bill will pass, and Carole’s dream of a kinder world will be one step closer.

10 Things Kids Say When They Actually Have Anxiety

Kids say the funniest things, often to the bewilderment of their parents. But these phrases might indicate that your child is feeling anxious over something.

Children go through anxiety just like most teenagers and adults do, with the only difference being communicating it. As such, a parent or guardian must learn some of the most apparent calls for help. These are the things that kids say when they’re going through anxiety, and knowing them would do you a world of good.

10 Things Kids Say, Suggesting They Might Feel Anxious

Knowing the things kids say when they struggle with anxiety can help you calm their minds.

things kids say1 – “I’m sleepy.”

This is one of the most common things said by adults after a long day’s work. However, do such adults ever stop and ponder whether their toddler is feeling the same way? Children have it just as hard as adults, as they go through incredibly stressful days, as well as some unique challenges.

That’s why you should always be at attention, as you don’t know when your child might need a helping hand.

“I’m tired” could be seen as a way for kids who ask a caregiver to through a rough patch together. Knowing this phrase could give you a better perspective as to what your little one is going through.

2 – “My head hurts.”

Many parents don’t give children the credit they deserve. Children are super bright, curious, and can do almost anything to get out of a sticky situation. One of their go-to ways is to complain about headaches.

As a parent or guardian, you should not accuse your child of laziness. Instead, pull him or her aside and ask what the problem is.

That way, you’ll build a lasting sense of trust and closeness with your little one. You could either be the parent that adds to the headache, or you could be the one that soothes it and makes everything better. We strongly advise that you pick the latter, as that would lead to a fantastic and communicative future.

3 – “What is wrong with me?”

A simple question, a cry for help, a call to action, or simply a means to get a bear hug.

One thing for sure, when a toddler asks you, “What’s wrong with me?” it’s clear that something’s bothering him or her.

That’s not the time for you to act like a tough parent. Instead, it’s time for you to probe further and show the child that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with him or her. You could do this being uttering words of solidarity and affirmation. You could also do this by walking the walk, rather than talking the talk.

Either way, your toddler will see that he or she has a friend that’s worth keeping and communicating with.

4 – “Can we please stay home?”

There’s nothing that beats home for children because there’s hardly a place you can go to where there’s so much love and care. That’s why it’s not out of the ordinary to see toddlers burst into tears when it’s time to go out.

It’s not that the toddler is antisocial. Indeed, it might be simply because he or she rather be in their comfort zone. It’s now up to you to show your child you understand the things kids say when they need your help. Then, reassure them that there is nothing scary about going out. And before you know it, it’ll be the child asking you when he or she can head out to play rather than stay indoors.

5 – “Is it time to go home yet?”

When getting worked up about your toddler’s desire to escape a crowd of two or more people, you must take a trip back memory lane.

Today you might be the most social person around. But remember back to a time when you were incredibly uncomfortable in a crowd. Your little one is merely a child, so this extra social interaction might take some getting used to.

So take it easy when they hit you with the “Is it time to leave yet?” because maybe it’s time to leave the gathering. Moreover, there are no laid down rules that say that your child has to feel comfortable around your friends. It’s the same way that you can’t stand some of your in-laws and their shenanigans.

So you should give the little one a break now and then; he or she will come around if it’s meant to be.

valuable life lessons6 – “Do it yourself.”

The fear of making the wrong move, the fear of disappointing mummy and daddy, the constant desire to be perfect. That’s just some of the reasons why a child could be pretty reluctant to carry out a task when adults are nearby.

They know that you’re older and most likely wiser than them, so they don’t want to fluff the lines. At this point, there’s no need to criticize the child or be disappointed. You have to show the anxious child that there’s no big deal in performing the task.

A child telling you to do it by yourself isn’t the child being rude. Instead, it’s just his or her way of subtly showing anxiety. Take it into your stride, and calmly show the child how to perform the task. As one day, the roles would be reversed.

7 – “I want to go home.”

This one is pretty self-explanatory, as we’ve all been there and seen the look on a toddler’s face when he or she utters these five demanding words. If not, you better get used to it because children aren’t the most tolerant people. They won’t hesitate to cut short an awkward meeting, and playing around with their toys at home seem to be a better proposition.

The saying, “I want to go home,” shouldn’t make you mad. Instead, call the child aside, hear his or her perspective, and make a prudent decision. Sometimes follow the child’s wishes, excuse yourself from the gathering and take the child home. Other times show the child that there are sometimes that he or she won’t get their wish. That way, you’ll give the child excellent training and calm any nerves that the child harbored initially.

8 – “You cannot make me.”

All you have to do is take a look into their eyes when they say this, and it’ll melt your heart, making you think twice about what you planned to do. Children might be impressionable, but they occasionally have minds of their own. It’s the hallmark of a great parent, guardian, it friend to hear out their little one.

“Don’t make me” means don’t make me, and you might have a crying child in your hands if you do otherwise without a convincing reason. So it’s better that you consider all the options before making a decision. Plus, there’s nothing to worry about if you make the wrong decision at the initial stages. As eventually, you’ll find a way to balance it all, and the anxiety would be a thing of the past.

9 – “My tummy hurts.”

It might be the shrimp, it might be something that you said, or it might be the burning desire to skip school. One thing’s for sure, children have moments when their stomachs hurt, and they aren’t good at hiding it. When a child tells you that his or her stomach hurts, it’s better that you ask a few friendly questions.

That way, you’ll ease the anxiety if that’s the problem. But if that doesn’t work out. It’s probably best advisable that you see a medical doctor at the earliest opportunity. Plus, this isn’t the right time to make light of the situation; a toddler might be distressed as it is!

10 – “Can you turn the nightlight on for me?”

Lately, children watch so much media that exposes them to things that can frighten them or cause anxiety. They aren’t so comfortable when being left alone, and the least you can do is turn on the nightlight.

You could either do that or tuck them in before you make your way to your bedroom. This is just a thing kids say to alert you. And before long, they’ll conquer the fear and laugh about the good old spooky days. However, during that time, it’ll be a masterstroke to master the art of leaving on the nightlight.

If not, you might end up with a super sleepy child on every single school day.

things kids sayFinal Thoughts on the Things Kids Say That Indicate Anxiety

Children are simply adorable, and they have the cutest ways of communicating with the people they trust the most. One of the ways that you’ll be able to build up trust is by listening very carefully to them. Once you hear any of the above statements, you will recognize the signals and see that it’s time to swing into action.

It’s always best to keep the lines of communication open as a parent. That way, you’ll be able to gain your child’s trust. Anxiety is natural, and we all went through the motions when we were in their shoes. The least that we can do is be compassionate, fair, and indelibly perceptive to their kiddie problems.

10 Reasons Why a Jump Rope Might Be the Best Home Workout

When you think of using a jump rope, you may picture young girls engaging in this activity with their friends. However, there are several excellent reasons why this exercise is making a comeback for fun and effective fitness routines.

Dr. William Roberts with the University of Minnesota Medical School Sports Medicine Program asserts that professional athletes have used jumping fitness routines for balance, strength, and cardiovascular health. Dr. Roberts points out that boxers have to be agile on their feet when they’re in the ring, and jumping helps them work many of the same muscles necessary for boxing.

Several celebrities, including Jennifer Garner, Halle Berry, Kaley Cuoco, and Carrie Underwood, use a jump rope in their workout regimens to prepare for roles or stay in a general state of good health.

Callie Gullickson, CPT, says that jumping is a good exercise for people of all fitness levels. That advice means this activity is excellent for anyone who wants to make their exercise routines more enjoyable.

Ten Reasons Why a Jump Rope Adds Value to Your Workout

Here are ten reasons why this fun and cost-effective workout could prove to be an effective home workout for you.

jump rope1. You’ll strengthen your bones

When you jump at a steady pace, you’re working against your body weight. You’re exerting weight onto your skeleton, which helps improve the health of your bones. This exercise is excellent for maintaining your bone density as an adult, but younger people can incorporate jumping into their physical activity routines to promote healthy bone development. This is especially important for girls. Puberty is the best time to develop bone strength and density since it is more challenging to boost bone density after a girl’s teenage years are over.

Jumping can also help make bones stronger in women who are postmenopausal. Women who are already in menopause are more likely to develop osteoporosis than any other age group, according to a BioMed Research International study. This means that jumping rope is an ideal aerobic workout, no matter what age you are, so you’ll have healthy bones throughout your life.

2. You can prevent physical injury

The stronger your bones are, the harder it will be for your bones to break. This is why adding jumping to your workout routine is essential. If you have osteoporosis, your bones can easily fracture if you suffer a fall or even while you’re engaging in everyday activities like bending down or sitting in certain positions. Jumping and other weight-bearing workouts are ideal for every stage of life, and this means you’re less likely to get osteoporosis in your senior years or break your bones, regardless of your age.

Dr. Roberts also asserts that rope jumping can prevent ankle injuries since it strengthens your ankle joints and supports muscles. You’ll find that your legs and ankles are more flexible. The more you jump, the less likely it is that you’ll sustain leg and ankle muscle injuries. You may also want to try jumping as part of your injury recovery process.

3. Your cardiovascular and respiratory health will improve

Medical experts say that jumping is an ideal cardiorespiratory exercise. This activity is high-intensity and raises your heart rate more than other cardio types like cycling, walking, or jogging. While you can push your body’s endurance to the limits to get the most benefits from these exercises, you can improve the health of your heart and respiratory system by jumping rope without having to work your body as hard.

In addition to improving your heart’s function and strengthening your lungs, jumping can also prevent serious health conditions, like weight gain, hypertension, diabetes, and even certain cancer forms. Instead of getting a stationary bike or working out on the treadmill, try jumping to preserve the health of your heart.

4. It’s a wonderful exercise for improving your balance and coordination

To perfect your jumping routine, you’ll have to work on coordinating the movement of your eyes, hands, and feet. This means you should engage in this workout as often as you can to become easier over time. Jumping requires you to be aware of your body and concentrate on your movements. This is why professional fighters are so fond of a jump rope workout.

You’ll find that you become more flexible and coordinated in your daily life, which can make you less accident-prone. Once your coordination improves, you may be more motivated to try other physical activities like dancing or team sports like basketball or kickball. Be sure to keep your routine slow at first and work your way up in speed as you become more accustomed to the body movement required for this exercise.

5. The activity helps you find your rhythm

A considerable part of perfecting your jumping routine is timing. As you’re learning your workout regimen, you’re improving your rhythm and speed. Once you gain more proficiency, you can start jumping while lifting your knees or crisscrossing your legs while jumping. Even if you’re not ready to engage in fancy jumping routines, you can change the rhythm of your routine, switching between slow and fast cadences to enhance your sense of rhythm while improving your heart rate.

pop quotes6. It’s great for sculpting your calves

If you want more definition in your legs, jumping is one of the best workouts to add to your health and wellness routine. Consistently working out improves the strength and look of your calves. This not only makes your legs look great in shorts or a dress but working out in this way can also improve the elasticity of your fascia and tendons to store energy in your muscles and make working out a little easier.

7. This exercise helps you burn calories

Women’s Health recently ranked rope jumping as the highest on its list of effective calorie-burning workouts. When you jump rope, you’re burning between 667 and 990 calories an hour. Research also indicates that jumping provides a more efficient calorie burn than running, according to Matthew Stults-Kolehmainen, Ph.D. FACSM and clinical exercise physiologist at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

The 2011 Compendium of Physical Activities asserts that jumping rope has a MET value of 11. MET is a measure used to calculate the estimated amount of energy the body expends during a specific activity. Running about 12 minutes per mile, on the other hand, only has a MET value of 8.3. At 8.5 minutes per mile, running faster offers a MET value that is equivalent to rope jumping.

8. It makes your shoulders stronger

While jumping strengthens your core and helps tone the lower half of your body, this exercise can also make your shoulders appear more muscular and more defined. A small study published in the Human Kinetics Journal reveals that working out with a weight jump rope for up to 12 weeks had improved mobility and stronger shoulder joints.

9. Progress is easy

All the benefits of jumping are amplified when you use a weighted rope for jumping after getting used to your workout routine. Since your swinging a heavier cable during your workout, you’ll notice more muscle tone and strength in your upper body. A weighted rope can also help you burn more calories. A weighted rope also increases your endurance and coordination, according to a National Library of Medicine study. The Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness confirms that a weighted rope can also make you lighter on your feet over time.

10. It’s a versatile, affordable, and portable exercise

One of the best benefits of this workout is that you can do it anywhere. You don’t have to worry about purchasing an expensive gym membership, and you can exercise indoors when the weather doesn’t permit an outdoor workout. When you’re able to jump outdoors, you’ll be getting a healthy dose of vitamin D. The rope is easy to carry, so if you’re exercising with friends, you don’t have to bring any heavy equipment with you. You don’t need lots of room to jump; make sure the rope will go over your head.

jump ropeFinal Thoughts on Using a Jump Rope to Your Workout Routine

While there are several benefits to jumping, medical professionals recommend using caution to have knee, back, or ankle issues. If you have chronic foot pain or wear orthopedic shoes, be sure to ask your doctor if using a jump rope is a safe exercise routine option for you.

If you want to start jumping as part of your workout regimen, it’s best to start slow and engage in low-cardio workouts to build your aerobic stamina, especially if you’ve been sedentary past few months.

This enjoyable workout is more challenging than it looks, but it’s lots of fun once you get the hang of it. Try exercise that less strenuous on your muscles and joints until you can maintain an intense workout. You’ll likely gain more energy with each exercise session, which will motivate you to continue exercising as you continue to accomplish your fitness goals.

15 Signs That Reveal Someone Might Be Codependent

Being codependent is a learned behavior that affects your ability to have a healthy, satisfying relationship. It is a behavioral and emotional condition that causes you to maintain relationships that aren’t beneficial to either partner.

This behavior is learned by watching family members that display this behavior and imitating it. Any dysfunctional family where fear, anger, pain, or shame is present can cause codependency. Some of the biggest problems that contribute include:

  • a family member with any addiction
  • physical, emotional, or sexual abuse
  • a family member suffering from an illness

Fifteen Signs That Reveal You May Be Codependent

codependentCodependent people tend to have low self-esteem and look to outside sources for happiness. They struggle with being themselves and feel like they are a reflection of their partner. If you think you might be codependent, you can look for some of the following signs.

1. You Feel the Need to Be in Control

If you feel the need to control all situations, you might be codependent. You will notice an urge to step in with solutions and advice, even when it isn’t desirable. Plus, you might get frustrated if the other person doesn’t do what you wanted them to do.

You might think they are wrong for making choices alone, even when the situation doesn’t involve you. If you feel the need to be in control, you might also disregard the ideas of others without even considering them.

2. You Want to Know What Others are Doing and Thinking

If you want to know all of the thoughts and actions of someone else, codependency might be an issue. Wanting to know what they are doing and thinking stems from feeling like a reflection of the other person. This shows that you are insecure, which causes dependency in a relationship.

It is normal for partners to know one another’s schedules, but codependency goes further than that. You will want to know every move they make, like going to the grocery store or gas station. Plus, you will constantly ask what they are thinking about and wonder if they are honest about their thoughts.

3. You Feel Responsible for the Actions of Others

Another sign of codependency is feeling anxious or guilty about other people’s problems. You might even feel embarrassed when your partner makes a mistake or says something wrong. This is a form of taking responsibility for their actions, although you can’t control their actions.

4. You Put Your Interests and Needs Aside

If you put your needs and desires aside to focus on other people, codependency might be an issue. While doing this once in a while is normal, doing it all of the time is not. You might even agree to things you aren’t comfortable with to make the other person happy.

In any relationship, you must put yourself first sometimes. You have needs and desires, too, and you shouldn’t forget about them.

5. You Have a Fear of Being Alone

Staying in a relationship that isn’t working is a sign of codependency. If you feel trapped or leave only to get into another unhealthy relationship, it is an indication. Doing this shows that you are afraid to be alone and look to others for fulfillment and happiness.

If you do spend time alone, you might feel frantic or empty. You base your identity on having someone by your side, and you feel incomplete when you are alone.

6. You Do More Than Your Share All of the Time

Doing more than your share all of the time is a sign of codependency for a few reasons. First, you are causing yourself to experience burnout. You can’t do everything alone, and you need help to avoid becoming stressed out.

If you have too many things to do, you won’t adequately complete them, which further contributes to your stress levels. Even still, you will be afraid to speak up and ask for help when you need it. You also likely never say no when someone asks you to do more.

Another reason doing more than your share is a sign of codependency is because it enables your partner. You shouldn’t have to make sure your partner gets up and leaves for work on time. Plus, you shouldn’t have to pack their lunch each day or remind them to do things they should already be doing.

Additionally, you shouldn’t have to call and set up appointments for them all of the time. Your partner isn’t a child, and constantly doing these things for them is enabling their behavior and causing codependency.

Of course, you will want to do these things for your partner sometimes, but it shouldn’t be all the time. Doing things for your partner shouldn’t come at the cost of your well-being and health.

7. You Feel Rejected or Angry When Your Partner Spends Time with Friends

If your partner makes plans with their friends and you get angry, then it is a sign of a bigger issue. You shouldn’t feel rejected or mad because it is healthy for couples to have lives outside of one another. Spending time with friends shouldn’t be an issue, but when codependency is a factor, your partner spending time with others is often a problem.

Additionally, if they have to check in with you often during their time out with friends, you may be codependent. It shows that you are trying to take control and power in the situation. Doing this shows a lack of respect in your relationship and for the friendships your partner has.

pop meme8. You Feel Guilty When You are Assertive

When you express anger or hurt, you might wind up feeling guilty. Likewise, if you speak up for yourself, you might experience guilt then, too. You will begin to suppress your emotions and keep quiet to avoid being assertive.

9. You Have Trouble Setting and Enforcing Boundaries

Everyone should have boundaries, and you shouldn’t feel afraid to set them in your relationship. Telling your partner that you don’t want to do something is essential to a healthy relationship. If you struggle with this, then you might be experiencing codependency.

When you speak up and say that you won’t put up with something, you don’t enforce your statement. You may stick around as the behavior worsens, hurting you in the process and creating anger or bitterness.

10. You Lie to Yourself

Rather than fix issues in your relationship, you ignore the problems and tell yourself everything is okay. You will spend time convincing yourself that it is normal when deep down you know it isn’t.

11. You Let Your Partner’s Mood Affect Your Day

While you’re sure to want your partner to have a good day, you can’t let their bad mood bring you down. You can sympathize and feel bad, but you should also be able to go about your day without a negative mood change.

If your partner’s bad day ruins your day, there might be codependency in the relationship. You might also feel that it is your responsibility to keep your partner happy. Since you can’t control their mindset or mood, though, it is impossible to change it.

You can’t let their mood affect your day. Otherwise, it will hurt your personal and professional life, too.

12. You Feel Unworthy

It could be a sign of codependency if you feel inadequate or don’t believe people that compliment you. You might think you aren’t deserving of the people in your life and the relationships you have.

Feeling unworthy is a sign of codependency because you tend to rely on your partner to make you feel worthy. You want them to see the good in you so much that you diminish your self-worth.

13. You Put Up with Things You Shouldn’t Just to Hold onto a Relationship

Staying with your partner despite their unhealthy or dysfunctional behaviors is a sign of codependency. When you do this, you are risking your mental and physical well-being. An even bigger indication that you may be codependent is if you attempt to minimize the consequences of their detrimental behavior.

14. You Communicate Poorly

If you avoid talking about your feelings or keep quiet to avoid arguments, there may be a codependency issue. You might be uncomfortable talking about your thoughts and feel like they don’t matter anyway. Taking it a step further, you might say things you don’t mean just because the other person wants to hear it.

When you do try to communicate, you might have trouble getting your point across. You may express your emotions in a way that you didn’t intend, too.

You likely feel misunderstood and like your words get incorrectly interpreted. Speaking up tends to lead to arguments, withdrawal, or another form of punishment, so you tend to keep quiet instead.

15. You Need Approval

When you constantly seek the approval of your partner, you might be codependent. Their opinion shouldn’t matter more than yours does, and if it does, it is a good indicator. You likely feel like a reflection of your partner, so you feel the need to get their approval and acceptance.

Another way you might seek approval is by trying to prove that you are worthy of love. You might constantly try to get attention and spend too much time worrying about what they think of you.

codependentFinal Thoughts on Signs That Reveal You May Be Codependent

If you are codependent, you might not exhibit all of the signs mentioned above. You might relate to only a few of them, and it is still an indicator that you are codependent.

Once you have reflected on your behaviors and determined if these signs apply to you, reach out for help. Therapists can help, or you can spend time practicing mindfulness and focusing on yourself.

How Does True Love Change You, According to Your Zodiac Sign?

True love is a powerful emotion, and it has the capacity to change you for the good or bad. When you find that special someone, they can make your life bliss and help you to become a better person.

Some believe that astrological signs have much to do with your love life, while others dispel any zodiacal involvement in matters of the heart.

Finding that special someone is often thought to be written in the stars as a kismet sort of occurrence. The Taurus might not respond and make changes to a serious relationship like the Capricorn. Does your sign influence your relations and how much or little you’re willing to give to make it work?

Astrologers believe that no two people come together by accident. It’s as if a magical force is drawing you. However, some signs don’t go together. For instance, the Virgo should steer clear of the Libra or the Aquarius, as these zodiac signs don’t have complementing personality traits.

Could the reason that so many people divorce is because their relationship isn’t matched into proper alignment with the universe? According to an article published don Psychic Scoop, the answer is yes. Should the Libra marry the Virgo, would their union be rocky and change you for the worse?

It’s possible, but there are always those people who defy the odds and work relentlessly to keep their partner happy.

true loveThere are 12 zodiac signs that correlate with the time of your birth. These signs are named after the constellations in the sky, which is why the term “written in the stars” is often used.

1. Aquarius

You’ve probably heard of the age of Aquarius, which was supposed to be a new spiritual awakening in the world that brings peace and harmony, according to the National Library of Medicine. This sign gets a lot of attention because they’re open, honest, and have fascinating ideas.

When it comes to love, being in a relationship with this person is easy. As an Aquarius, they find it effortless to love and be loved in return. They make their lover their best friend, so there always there at your bekon call.

2. Aries

However, they expect their partner to have the same level of commitment in a relationship or they tend to be eager to split.

3. Cancer

Cancers are emotional to a fault, but they burry these emotions deep inside, which can make being in a relationship a challenge. When they find true love, they let someone in beyond the walls they’ve constructed around their heart.

While they may not be the most vocal about their feelings, they start to open a little bit at a time. These folks have strong maternal or paternal instincts, so once they fall, they’re ready to start a family and plan their forever.

4. Capricorn

Capricorns are a bit selfish, and they don’t like anyone touching their stuff. They draw a line in the sand and don’t want anyone to cross it as they’re getting too close. However, once they find someone that they have feelings for, the lines start blurring a bit.

They can change from a square person to more well-rounded in a relationship. They might even show a funny or carefree side to their personality, if they find “the one.”

5. Gemini

Geminis are the ones that don’t mind changing for love. In fact, they will avoid friends and family when someone has sparked their attention. These people fall hard, so they will invest any free time they have with them, often making other folks in their life mad.

6. Leo

universe7. Libra

Libras are known to be more in love with the idea of love than anything else. They tend to stay in the safe zone of infatuation. Once they make the leap and fall in love, they are not afraid to commit or to do anything required.

8. Pisces

Love is not a hard emotion to show for the Pisces. They will give everything they have and then go even further when they find the perfect person. One trait about this zodiac sign that is so comforting is their devotion for their partner.

9. Sagittarius

Love is an extraordinarily complex emotion to the Sagittarius. These individuals think one-night stands are easier because they’re don’t require commitment and all the requirements that comes with it. They crave independence, so being tied down is challenging.

10. Scorpio

The Scorpio is one of the most reserved of all the signs. They don’t just open their heart to anyone, as it takes them time to get to know you. They aren’t eager to share secrets and won’t be so trusting either.

Scorpios tend to be a bit jealous, and they can become possessive in a relationship, which can be suffocating to the other person. Consequently, once they make that leap and fall head over heels, they want the world to know that it’s hands off.

11. Taurus

The bull is not known for giving away their heart so easily. However, once they fall for someone, they fall hard. These are the folks that can love the same person for a lifetime.

Since the Taurus is a bit reserved with love, once they fall, they fall hard. Though they might not be as eager to make changes to themselves as they are stubborn, they are eager to build a life. These people don’t have any problem jumping into things quickly once they’ve found “the one.”

Don’t mistake the bullheaded nature of this sign as challenging in a partnership, as the Taurus will step out of their comfort zone to make sure you’re happy, even if it means that they will sacrifice their needs.

12. Virgo

The Virgo might not fall easily, but they’re willing to put their life on hold for their true love. They have no problem adapting any future plans to include you in their life.

While they don’t tend to be overall sensual or passionate, they will bring out the emotional side when they’re in love. Though it takes them time to find the right one, their fire burns bright when they do find them.

You Might Be Spiritually Awake If…

Being spiritually awake can be a couple of different things. It is sometimes referred to as spiritual wakefulness or enlightenment, as well. The first clue that you might be spiritually awake is that things seem different in the world around you.

There are other signs of spiritual wakefulness, too, though. Enlightenment isn’t something that happens overnight, but it defines the beginning of your spiritual path. The process is different for everyone, but many of the signs are often the same.

Spiritual awakening is a powerful experience that means you are becoming aware of the universe and its connection to life. This experience can mean different things for everyone, so it is hard to define. You can only look for the signs of a spiritual awakening in yourself to decide if you are experiencing it.

There are many signs, and you likely won’t experience all of them. Even experiencing a few of the signs might mean you are spiritually awake. Reflect on your life and thoughts as you read through these signs to watch for recognition.

Fifteen Signs You Might Be Spiritually Awake

spiritually awake1 – You are Empathetic and Experience Increased Intuition

Your intuition allows you to sense the energy and emotions of others easily, so you quickly connect on a deeper level. Every person has energy, and if you can pick up on it right away, you might be spiritually awake.

2 – You Notice Your Patterns

When you are enlightened, you don’t go through life on autopilot. You notice your patterns, the person you are, the things you want, and why you are here. Noticing the way that you do things and questioning things about yourself are good indicators.

You won’t only feel connected to other humans, either, as you will become more aware of other living things, too.

Additionally, you will feel a sense of connection to the planet. You will begin to think about how littering and waste affect the earth and consider the things you can do about it. Beneficial changes will likely take place in this regard, too.

You will also realize that you can change your thoughts about your past to create a different life experience.

10 – You Live in the Moment

People that live in the moment tend to be more spiritually awake than others. You don’t question how or why things could have happened. Instead, you focus on your life right now and how to work with what you have.

Living in the moment means you have fewer regrets because you aren’t constantly thinking of your past. When you aren’t wondering about things that didn’t happen, you begin to embrace the way things turned out. If you are like this right now, then you are likely spiritually awake.

11 – You Experience Inner Peace

Time alone doesn’t usually bother you because you feel at peace with yourself. You might tune out of social media for a while or even turn your phone off entirely.

When things go wrong in your life, you won’t be an emotional mess. You will accept the situation as it happens, navigating it peacefully.

12 – You Experience Compassion and Positivity

If you are awakened, you will experience more compassion, including self-compassion. You will want good things for those around you, even if you aren’t close to them. Plus, you will be kinder to both yourself and others.

You tend to be happy for people when they succeed, even if you were competing against them. Positivity will come easier to you after a bad experience, too.

13 – You Are Authentic

If you need less attention than others, it means that you are authentically confident and value your self-worth. You don’t need reassurance from others because you are comfortable with who you are. Along with this, you might notice that you prefer to watch and help others rather than be the main focus.

You won’t feel the need to be in control, and you will feel less pressure to conform. All of these benefits come from being satisfied with yourself, which only happens when you are authentic. You stay true to yourself, which is one of the things that make you so great.

Another characteristic of being authentic is not looking to please others. You understand that you can only change your feelings, not those of others. Because of this, you take care of yourself and focus on your needs and desires.

14 – You Aren’t Afraid of Death

Death is inevitable at some point in life, and if you aren’t afraid of it, you might be enlightened. The lack of fear might stem from your ability to let go of attachment. Plus, focusing on the present makes the end seem less devastating.

15 – You are Flourishing

Becoming awakened brings along an increased sense of well-being. Your mind will connect to your body better, and you will be happier and healthier. All parts of your life will get better, including your emotions, relationships, accomplishments, income, health, and opportunities.

15 Foods That Help a Woman’s Menstrual Cycle

The menstrual cycle is rough on women, but certain foods can make it a little easier to get through. Knowing the foods that help is key to feeling better and more energetic during your cycle. Some foods intensify the uncomfortable symptoms, which will only make the experience worse for you.

If you notice that your symptoms interfere with your life, you may need to make a lifestyle change. The symptoms that can be reduced or eliminated with the right foods include:

  • headaches
  • nausea
  • abdominal cramps
  • fatigue
  • mood swings and irritability
  • diarrhea
  • constipation
  • bloating

Including the right nutrients and vitamins in your diet can ensure your health and safety during your cycle. It will keep your nutrient levels where they need to be, giving you everything you need to keep going. However, the wrong foods will make the issues worse and leave you feeling like you can’t function.

Avoid feeling like you can’t do anything because of your menstrual cycle by changing your diet. You don’t have to change everything at once, but a few positive changes will help. Remember that taking care of your body is the only way to keep moving forward in your life.

The Phases the Female Menstrual Cycle

menstrual cycleThere are four phases in your menstrual cycle, but the premenstrual phase happens the week before your period. This is when your body knows that the uterine lining must be shed to start the cycle over again. During this phase, women begin to experience symptoms of PMS.

The menstrual phase begins when you start your period. It can last anywhere from 2-7 days but usually lasts 3-5 days.

During the menstrual phase, your body sheds the uterine lining. Your hormones decrease, and your body works to mature eggs for ovulation. While the things you eat are always important, being more aware of your eating habits during this step of the cycle is essential.

The menstrual phase causes your body to lose essential vitamins and nutrients. Eating nutritious and anti-inflammatory foods can help replenish your body and help you feel better.

Fifteen Foods That Help Women’s Menstrual Cycle

1. Water

Drinking enough water is essential for helping you during your period. It decreases your risk of getting headaches or becoming dehydrated, something that is common during menstruation. Drinking enough water can also prevent you from bloating and retaining water.

2. Chicken

Iron and protein are essential for overall health, especially during a woman’s period. Not only do you need to replenish, but it helps you feel full longer, reducing your cravings. You will also have more energy and not feel quite as lousy as you would otherwise.

3. Lentils and Beans

Lentils and beans are both full of protein and iron, helping keep your levels where they need to be. Regulating your iron will prevent you from feeling weak during your menstrual cycle.

4. Fruit

The water in fruit helps you stay hydrated, and the sweetness helps curb sugar cravings. You won’t eat as many refined sugars, helping you feel good all day. Fruit is the perfect snack to help a woman’s menstrual cycle because women crave sweets at that time.

5. Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate contains magnesium and iron, both of which need to be replaced during a women’s period. It helps reduce the severity of your symptoms, including mood swings, headache, irritability, food cravings, and poor concentration.

6. Tea

Both peppermint tea and kombucha tea can help a woman’s menstrual cycle. Peppermint tea helps soothe symptoms such as cramps, nausea, and diarrhea.

Kombucha tea is rich in probiotics, helping to fight yeast. Be careful not to drink too much sugar in this tea, though.

7. Vegetables

Leafy green vegetables can help you replenish your iron levels, which dip low during your period. Spinach and kale are examples of vegetables that can boost your iron and magnesium, helping to decrease your symptoms. These vegetables help with fatigue, body pain, and dizziness.

8. Nuts

Nuts are a good source of protein since they are full of omega-3 fatty acids. They contain other vitamins and nutrients, too, including magnesium. You can experience the benefits of nuts in nut butter or nut milk in addition to eating them whole.

9. Quinoa

Rich in iron, protein, magnesium, and other nutrients, quinoa is a beneficial addition to your diet. It has a low glycemic index, meaning it will help you feel full and energetic. Plus, it won’t cause you to crash later from too much sugar.

10. Ginger

11. Flaxseed Oil

Flaxseed oil is full of omega-3 fatty acids, helping reducing menstruation symptoms. It can ease constipation, bloating, and cramping, which is sure to make you feel better.

12. Yogurt

Yeast infections are common in women during or just after their period. Increasing the number of probiotics that you consume can help prevent those infections.

Probiotics are found in yogurt and are good bacteria that help you fight infections. Yogurt also contains magnesium, calcium, and other essential vitamins and nutrients.

13. Fish

15. Turmeric

Seven Foods You Should Avoid

There are foods you can eat to help your menstrual cycle, and there are also foods you should avoid. Everything is alright in moderation, but certain foods can make your symptoms worse.

1. Sugar

Sugar can cause your energy to spike and then crash later. Experiencing an energy crash can put you in a bad mood and make you feel depressed or anxious. Limit your sugar intake and look for natural sweeteners instead.

2. Coffee

Caffeine causes water retention and bloating. It can also make headaches worse and cause digestive issues like diarrhea or constipation.

3. Red Meat

The body produces prostaglandins during your period, causing your uterus to contract. This process gets rid of the uterine lining, which is what causes your menstrual flow. When your prostaglandin levels are high, your cramps will be worse.

Red meat contains high amounts of prostaglandins. The high prostaglandin level means that red meat will make your cramps worse, so you should avoid it during menstruation.

4. Salt

Too much salt causes water retention and bloating, both of which are an issue during menstruation. Avoid adding salt to your food, and limit the number of processed foods that you eat. Most process food contains lots of salt, which will leave you feeling uncomfortable.

5. Spicy Foods

It is common for spicy foods to cause an upset stomach, diarrhea, stomach pain and cramps, and nausea. During your cycle, you will want to limit spicy foods because they will intensify your symptoms. Unless you are used to eating them regularly, it is best to avoid them entirely during this time.

6. Alcohol

Alcohol causes quite a few detrimental effects, all of which intensify the symptoms of your cycle. It will dehydrate you and, in turn, causes worsening headaches and bloating. Alcohol can also cause digestive issues like diarrhea and nausea, which intensify during your cycle.

Drinking alcohol doesn’t only affect you at that time, either. If you have a hangover the next day, it can lead to more headaches, nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue. You are already dealing with enough of those things on your cycle, so adding to them is not a good idea.

7. Any Other Foods Your Body Doesn’t Tolerate Well

Food sensitivities intensify during your monthly cycle. You will notice more nausea, constipation, or diarrhea, depending on what your symptoms usually are. If you tend to avoid food when you aren’t on your period, be even more strict when you are.
