The Law of Attraction is a powerful force as real as the Law of Gravity. It’s working at all times, whether we are consciously aware of it or not.

The Law of Attraction simply states “like attracts like”.  Your positive (and negative) thoughts, words, and actions will attract that back to you in some form.

Just as this world is composed of physical matter, it is also in energy form. What has happened in the world and is happening, has been attracted in some way. It doesn’t always seem fair; but when we begin to learn more about the Law of Attraction and how it can work for us, we can begin to create the life we desire.

The History of The Law of Attraction


Thomas Troward
, a thought leader who had a strong influence on today’s beliefs of the Law of Attraction, claimed that thought precedes physical form. He believed,

“The action of mind plants that nucleus which, if allowed to grow undisturbed, will eventually attract to itself all the conditions necessary for its manifestation in outward visible form.”

Another new thought leader, James Allen who wrote “As a Man Thinketh” (which is free on Amazon for the kindle version), believed this same theory. His book brought faith, inspiration, and self healing to the millions who have read it.

The most popular modern-day reference to the Law of Attraction is “The Secret“, a book and movie, by Rhonda Byrne.  Both teach the concept that your thoughts become things. So if your thoughts are mostly positive you will attract more positive. If your focus is more on negative than that is also what you will attract.

So, the Law of Attraction seems pretty easy and self-explanatory, right?

Sure, yet so many people learn about it, understand it, try to apply it and have trouble. Today, so many people are unhappy, depressed, and in ruins with life, finances, and relationships. So, we want to spread the word on this powerful force and, in a very concise and easy way, we want to guide you through the process of the Law of Attraction, and how to use it to your advantage to create the life you truly desire.

3 Simple Steps to the Law of Attraction

STEP 1: ASK

Most people are familiar with the phrase “Ask, Believe, Receive.”   While “Ask” is considered the first step of creation in the Law of Attraction, and we believe Asking is very important, it is only part of it. Before you ask, be sure it is what you truly wish for.

To start, give yourself time to be alone in silence, where you can sit and reflect on life. Get your computer, journal or notebook and allow the creative ideas to flow. Ask yourself. . .

“What are my dreams?”

“How about my desires?”

“What are my needs?”

“Where can I see myself going?”

“What do I love to do?”

“What is fun for me?”

Dream and be playful with your visions – just like a child. Children believe they can do anything and do it well. Some of us tend to lose that feeling as we get older and make mistakes. Mistakes are part of life and they allow us to adapt, change and grow. We can truly have, be and do anything we set our mind to.

As you do this, write whatever comes to your mind. Allow only good thoughts and feelings to flow. Good feelings are truly the key to the Wish then Ask process. If your dreams scare you just a little bit, that’s okay. In fact, that’s good! It means your vision is BIG and your potential is BIG enough to achieve it. Keep visualizing them, feeling better and better.

To increase the Law of Attraction visualization and creation processes, we strongly suggest having a vision board. A vision board takes your thoughts and puts them in a physical form you can see all throughout the day. You can also meditate if you’re into that. Meditation for 5-10 minutes a day can really help unlock and increase your power.

Once you’ve truly decided what it is your wishing for, stay focused and ASK. Asking transforms the entire Wish process, and begins creation.

Law of Attraction: Step 1 – CHECK!

STEP 2: BELIEVE

The next step is believing. At this stage, you intentionally visualize how you would like things to be.   Afterward, you allow yourself to feel the feeling of that belief being fulfilled. You want to have unwavering faith that what you desire is coming to YOU.

As you visualize this, you have a strong knowing that it is already on its way!

Due to the buffer of time, things don’t always happen instantly. That’s okay. Stay positive. Sometimes impatience or doubt can creep in during this stage and completely reverse the creation.

Living in faith and positive emotion will continue to allow what you desire to flow to you.

Allow each day to be filled with hope, belief, strength, and passion for what is to come – release doubt, worry and fear.

Keep your actions aligned with your intentions and your desires will naturally attract. Negative emotion does not serve you. It is an illusion to hold you back.

Doreen Virtue described this process very well on an interview she had with Lisa Garr on GaiamTV. She described the law of attraction process like placing an order at a restaurant. You look over the menu and decide exactly what you want. When the waiter comes, you give him the order with any specific requests. The waiter happily takes your order and heads to the kitchen. While you’re waiting, you enjoy yourself with friends or family, not worrying if the waiter is going to get the order right or if it will even come. Know that you will be taken care of and that everything will be fine.

The second stage is where you happily wait and enjoy the journey. Yes, it may and usually will require action – it is the Law of AttrACTION after all! To be sure you are taking the correct action, that is in alignment with your wish, you can listen and follow your intuition. Here, you are taking inspired action steps that are calling you to bring your wishes to fruition.

During this process, it’s important to keep your passion flowing, but not overdo it. Live in the moment and allow time to just be.  Take time to be present; trust, and believe in the process. Being present allows you to connect with everything around you, and recognize the gifts of opportunity being presented that will allow you to move forward.the universe

3 Key Emotions Needed during the Belief Process

STRENGTH

A strong intention requires inner strength.  Many desires reside in a place where you aren’t currently at, and you have to keep your thoughts, words, and actions positive and in alignment with your intention to ultimately attract your desire.  You know that your intention is for your best interest, but as you set your intention,  there will be temptation to fall back into the old habits and patterns that ultimately keep you from what you want to attract.  The light energy wants you, but so does the dark – they both want to grow.  All throughout the spiritual world, we are told not to give into temptation – that the blessings can be taken from you as quickly as they are given. Your thoughts can be influenced, but in the big picture, they are your sole possession.

TRUST

The effectiveness of your belief systems is built on a foundation of trust.  What you feel is true can only be true for you if you trust that your belief process will ultimately bring your desires to fruition.  If you feel that your beliefs will not attract your best life, you do not trust them, and they will not help attract what you seek, but something else. Remember that the Law of Attraction works both ways; it can bring you what you want, and it can also bring you what you don’t want.  It’s up to you to trust in the process.

GRATITUDE

Gratitude is key in the Law of Attraction.  The Universe rarely delivers all that you desire in one fell swoop, but rather gives you bits and pieces of the puzzle to realize and put together.  For each bit and piece, you must trust that it is being delivered for your best interest overall, and be thankful for it. Thankfulness for what you already have before your desires are delivered is the main ingredient in this recipe for success.

law-of-attractionOverall, depending on your own thoughts and expectancy, the Intention Process can possibly take the longest. The length is truly dependent upon YOU. Stay patient, focused and determined that it will happen while remaining open to it possibly coming in a slightly different form. This can and does happen. The abundance you’re seeking comes through a different avenue.

Potential mistakes and challenges can arise and that’s okay – that’s part of the fun of it. You always learn something new and grow just a little more. 😉 Remain steadfast because receiving is the next and last step of the Law of Attraction.

When you begin the receiving process of the Law of Attraction, congratulate yourself and CELEBRATE! You deserve it! This excitement will help the manifestation process fully come to fruition, possibly even accelerate it and exceeding your expectation.

Continue to live in positive emotions and realize and reflect on the true power that you’ve always had within you. You can achieve success like this in anything you apply these principals to.  Remember, this isn’t something you’ve just activated because you are conscious of it, it’s been working the entire time. Now you know how to fully harness your power through the Law of Attraction. Every thought, word, and action forms a co-creation with God and the Universe. You do have the infinite power of co-creation.

Consciously working the Law of Attraction to your advantage can bring you success beyond what you may have previously thought impossible. The potential for everything exists in God and the Universe, but the ability to attract exists in YOU.

How to Create the Life You Love Through Divine Awareness

Have you ever felt like you’ve received “a sign from above”? Perhaps you are captivated by a billboard message, an overheard discussion, or a specially delivered directive via meditation or prayer. And, it makes you feel like the Divine is talking to you individually. That is Divine Awareness.

indeed, people experience these moments every single day. These don’t happen only because they just coincidentally notice. But they occur because humans are in direct contact with the Divine in every waking moment.

Believe it or not, each individual thought, both conscious and subconscious, delivers a signal to the Divine that is not only received – but responded to. Each thought, word, or action you create brings a response from the Divine that opens up an opportunity for you to either expand or contract that specific experience. The Divine does not have a single way of communicating with you either.  It’s up to you to recognize,  translate, and act upon these messages returned from the Divine to ultimately create your destiny.

How to tune into Divine Awareness

divine awarenessYour surroundings, like you, are all made up of the Divine.  Our entire physical world is made up of living energy, and anything can become the medium chosen by the Divine to communicate to you at any given time.  It’s up to you to see the messages being delivered, and act on them accordingly.

How do you do this?

Here are three simple ways to Tune into Divine Awareness:

  • Be present – Live in the Now
  • Pay attention to Synchronicities
  • Take action on opportunities

A great example of this occurred to me just the other day.  We were taking a trip with our very tired (and grumpy) toddler. The moment I could feel myself starting to stress and grip the steering wheel, I looked up and saw a billboard that said “Stay Cool”.  I knew right away that I was being told something, so I listened and “stayed cool”.  Immediately after, I looked at the clock and saw 1:11.  It was a confirmation. I had responded to the Divine; I allowed myself to create a better moment.  Long story short, the rest of the day turned out amazing.  Everything went along seamlessly, despite the bit of stress developed earlier in the day.  I did not allow the negative thoughts, words and actions to build.  I took action to allow positive growth.

Creating from Divine Awareness

To create what you desire in life, must not only learn how to tune into Divine Awareness. In addition, you must make conscious decisions from it.  If a thought, word or action sprouts up and makes you feel good, more thoughts, feelings, and experiences in alignment with your good feeling will be created.

The connection to the Divine is eternal, no matter how you feel about it.  So if you seek growth and change, you must move energy away from what you do not want and shift it toward what you do want.  Here are some examples:

  • Rather than focusing on less war, focus on the growth of peace.
  • Instead of focusing on shedding unwanted weight, focus on the body you desire.
  • Rather than focusing on quitting a job you dislike, focus on getting into a job you love.

And so on…

 The best part about all of this is that you can begin communicating and creating with the Divine right now by tuning into the NOW  There’s no waiting around for the next spiritual taxi to come to pick you up; you have a Divine chauffeur ready right now, prepared to take you where you want to go.

In fact, joy is key to living your best life. As long as you are happy where you are, more abundance will continue to be drawn to you.

How to Choose a Positive Perspective

We would consider ending this article here, but many of you have asked how to choose the positive perspective when things are really difficult. Hardships and challenges are when the positive perspective is needed most. It may not be easy to find it, but it is always worth it. Most of the time, it involves forgiveness and an open mind to continue to search in your heart for loving, kinder thoughts.

In an excerpt from “In Pursuit of Excellence” – “Ellis and Harper (1976, 25) identified several perspectives or beliefs that can interfere with your capacity to perform to your potential and live a joyful life:

  • The belief that you must always have love and approval from all the people you find significant
  • A belief that you must always prove to be thoroughly competent, adequate, and achieving
  • The belief that emotional misery comes from external pressures and that you have little ability to control or change your feelings
  • A belief that if something seems fearsome or threatening, you must preoccupy yourself with it and make yourself anxious about it
  • The belief that your past remains all-important and that because something once strongly influenced your life, it has to keep determining your feelings and behavior today

You cannot have the love and approval of all people at all times, no matter what you do or how much you give of yourself; nor can you always be thoroughly competent at all things. None of us is, or ever will be, perfect at all things. We all screw up sometimes, and that’s OK. That’s being human.

We all have the capacity to change our perspectives, improve our focus, and directly influence our feelings. We are not locked into the limitations of our experiences. It’s important to develop the confidence inside of you to know that every challenge will sculpt you and make you stronger. How to Achieve Clarity in Life (Physical, Mental, and Spiritual)

Have you ever experienced foggy weather? Low visibility and the inability to see what you know exists leaves you feeling lost in the once-familiar, now misty world around you. Not until the sun shines to evaporate the surrounding ground clouds can you really see what is around you?

Fog can creep in on the human psyche too.   Whether physical, mental, or spiritual, a foggy feeling in life is one that wants to leave you with little to no progress, practically stealing the potential love and positive energy that awaits you.

The good news is that you never really have to feel like you’re trapped in any one of these fogs.  Clarity can always be with you, all you need to do is “warm-up” the hazy environment around you to reach above the D.E.W. Point.   Here are a few practical hacks to help keep you above a “D.E.W. (depressed, empty, worn-out) point in life.”

How to Attain Physical, Mental, and Spiritual clarity:

physical clarityPhysical clarity brings a real feeling of being alive.  It helps you bounce out of bed in the morning, avoid the afternoon slump, and even read your favorite book before bed. When you’re caught in a physical fog, you really don’t even want to get out of your pj’s.

Implement these three tips to build a strong foundation for physical clarity:

  • Exercise –  When you exercise, you literally “wake up” your body.  Your muscles, mind, and natural defense systems strengthen, an increase in metabolism keeps you vibrant,  and the benefits of looking your best will surely sway you to stay active.  Not to mention, you’ll probably live longer.  😉
  • Proper sleep –  Studies show that sleep helps keep you energized, repairs the body, and can even help prevent cancer.  Get between 7 and 9 hours each night when you can to make sure you’re feeling your best each day.
  • Water – The right amount of water each day (half of your body weight in ounces) helps your body incredibly. Water flushes toxins from your body, keeps your chemical reactions in check, and even helps you go on schedule

  • Eat well: When you live a healthy eating lifestyle that’s high in fruits and vegetables, it has multiple benefits for your brain that will help keep you mentally, and emotionally, stable.  Antioxidants and micro-nutrients contained in healthy foods go a long way toward protecting brain function.  As researchers have shown, many different foods have an effect on the brain.
  • Stress Less: Stress raises levels of hormones that block normal brain function.  It can even damage brain cells.  Use meditation, positive affirmations, and of course, the power of positivity in your daily life and proclaim, “I am too blessed!” (to be stressed). 😉

  • Meditate

A spiritual fog, just like real-life fog, leaves you not able to see what is truly there.  Believe that a spiritual fog is simply covering up, not eliminating what is there.  Allow yourself to believe that you are co-creating with the divine.  Focus every day for 7 seconds on what you desire to send it to the Universe, and for 68 seconds to help bring the beginning of that manifestation to fruition.  You will see that as you ask and focus on that positive desire, it will be delivered at the perfect moment.

You see, it’s not that your clarity is missing or gone, it’s been there the whole time – it’s just not visible through a mental, physical, or spiritual fog.  Once the light shines and warms you past the D.E.W. Point, your clarity appears once more.  Take in your new clarity and witness the wonders of life. They have surrounded you the entire time.

By allowing the proverbial “sun” to shine in your life, it will brighten and warm you inside and evaporate the haze in your life.  You’ll be seeing clearly before you know it. 🙂

10 Tips for Daily Inspiration

Inspiration can come from the most unlikely of places. Many people go looking for inspiration, but many times, just allowing yourself to be in tune with things naturally will provide great inspiration.  It isn’t necessary to have an epiphany one day to become inspired either. It can happen in the smallest ways and from the littlest things. In fact, changing daily habits and committing to positive change can provide a lifetime of inspiration. Commitment is key!

1. Breathe and enjoy your surroundings

Though our lives are crammed with studying, working and dealing with errands and other headaches, taking the time to take a walk, breathe, and do nothing but enjoy the moment will make you a more relaxed and pleasant person, who is open to many different things.

2. Laugh More

Laughter is the best medicine, especially for issues that common prescriptions cannot cure. Taking life less seriously and finding the joy and silliness in each day will inspire your personality and allow more positivity to laughter-quote-copyflow in your life.

3. De-Clutter

Though multitasking can be seen as a strong point, doing too many things at once means that you are not giving your full attention to any of these activities. Keep your mind and space clean. Participate in one activity at once and allow yourself to live in that moment. Also, keep your home and workspace clean. A clean space will clear your head and allow the creative juices to flow.

4. Live with Purpose

Every life needs purpose and every day needs meaning. When you wake up in the morning, decide the purpose of your day’s course. No purpose is too small. If the purpose of your day is to remain positive or smile more, then that is an excellent place to begin with your inspiration.

5. Subscribe to Positive Media

What are you watching and reading daily? Be sure that it’s positive. For instance, listening to the nightly news could be switched with watching a program on GaiamTV. 6. Choose to See the Positive Perspective

To become in tune with your own life and receive personal inspiration, you must learn to tune out the opposite. Worrying about negative wants, needs, and thoughts will muddle your own thoughts of purpose and confuse you. Instead, make a commitment to yourself and your personal goals.

Half Tortoise Pose: Namaste Thursday [YOGA]

Today, we will look together at the half tortoise pose. But, a bit of advice before we begin.

yoga-sunsetAs with any type of exercise, it’s important to hydrate prior to starting a yoga session, and it’s vital to work within our own range of limits and abilities. The half-tortoise pose is a relaxing posture that gifts the spine with an invigorating stretch. I use it like bookends:

• At the onset of a session to assist the warmup process.

• Near the end, to gently help my heart rate return to normal.

Here’s How Half Tortoise Pose is Done

1. Sit on a yoga mat — shins on the floor — with your buttocks resting on your heels. Ensure that your heels and buttocks remain in constant contact; keeping your belly taut makes it easier to maintain contact and increases the intensity of the stretch.

2. Inhale deeply, lifting both arms to the sky.

3. Press the palms of your hands together, overlapping your thumbs. Your arms should be straight, biceps touching your ears.

4. Lengthen your spine and hold — feel the stretch.

half-tortoise-pose-yoga5. Exhale deeply and slowly bend from the waist until your wrists, forearms, and forehead touch the yoga mat. To intensify the stretch, straighten the arms so that your wrists, elbows, and triceps form an uncurving line and you experience some stress in your shoulder blades.

6. Keep your chin as far away from your chest as possible while maintaining contact between the forehead and yoga mat.

7. Hold this pose for as long as comfortable, continuing to breathe normally.

8. Inhale deeply and return to the starting position with your arms lifted to the sky.

9. Exhale deeply, release your arms, and return to starting position.

The Benefits of Half Tortoise Pose

This pose induces a rush of blood to the head — providing nutrition to the brain — which improves function. Enhanced brain function slows down normal deterioration, decelerating the aging process. Performing the half tortoise pose on a regular basis helps balance serotonin and melatonin levels in the brain — two chemicals that are responsible for controlling the body’s sleep cycle — increasing the likelihood of a good night’s sleep.

Yep, that’s right. “I recommend any solarium with newer bulbs and a stand-up room so you don’t lay down in chemicals,” says Tyler. He continues, “If it’s a 15-minute session go for 10 and you will feel and look great from doing this 2-3x per week.” Tyler lives in Bali so he doesn’t have to worry about going to a tanning bed. But he said if he were in a city for more than a week with low sunlight he would definitely be looking for a tanning bed.

Protein is excellent for your brain as well.  Your brain’s chemical activation is dependent on the foods you eat.  Your brain cells neurotransmitters are made of amino acids which are the building blocks of protein, so it’s a ‘no-brainer’.  And when you eat protein, it raises the levels of another amino acid called tyrosine that help create the mood-boosting chemicals dopamine and norepinephrine.

B Vitamins

Folate and vitamin B12 seem also to be critical mood-boosting vitamins. Studies have shown that low blood levels of these vitamins are sometimes linked to depression. Some scientists believe that the body uses these vitamins to create serotonin, which as we mentioned, is one of the key neurotransmitters that help boost your mood.

Add rich dark leafy green veggies and beans to get more folic acid. Healthy sources for Vitamin B12 include nutritional yeast and plant-based fortified foods. If you discover you are low in B12, you can get B12 Shots from the doctor or use high-absorbency B12 Patches recommended by Matt Monarch, the founder of Raw Food World.
